Tin is a silvery-white lustrous metal, with a bluish tinge. It has the density of 7.3g/cm3, melting point of 231.89℃ and boiling point of 2260℃. It is ductile and malleable to some extent and has a highly crystalline structure. Its electrical conductivity is about one-seventh that of silver and its hardness is slightly higher than lead.
