Cobalt
Cobalt
Cobalt (Co) is a brittle, hard metal white in appearance with a bluish tinge. It has relative atomic mass of 58.9332, density 8.9g/cm³, melting point of 1493℃ and boiling point of 2870℃. It is a ferromagnetic material and has magnetic permeability approximately two thirds that of iron and three times that of nickel. When heated to 1150℃, the magnetism disappears.
Cobalt sputtering target could be applied as blades, impellers, rocket engine, missile component, electric heating element or in industries that operate equipment under high temperatures.
